Case Studies : Chatham Building

Refurbishment of an historic building for use as a language laboratory; later refurbished again for use as part of the University of Liverpool’s School of Management.

Principal structural/civil engineering works:
The building was developed using a retained façade. The internal structure used load bearing masonry supported on piles and a new floor was added on top. The later refurbishment linked the building to a new School of Management department.
