John’s career began in 1973 a trainee technician with Durkin Moran. In 1981 he joined Roy Billington Associates and in 1988 he joined AMEC as a design/build contractor to gain experience in the industrial sector, reaching the position of principal engineer. In 2002 he joined Nickson Davis as a senior structural engineer and more latterly a project director. He was elected a graduate member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1980.

John has a very broad experience in civil and structural engineering covering both fields of design and construction. As a senior engineer he has been responsible for the design, detail and specification of many major projects and for several projects was part of the site based construction team in the role of site engineer/site manager.
